Source code

jfinance is released under the Apache License 2.0.

Software included

jfinance copies part of the yfinance 1.5.2 source. What was copied and what was changed is recorded in the distributed NOTICE and in tools/vendor_yfinance.py.

Data attribution

The same attribution is required if you redistribute or republish this data.

EDINET content is used under the Public Data License 1.0 (PDL1.0), Japan’s open government data licence.

jfinance selects values, applies amendment filings and reshapes the data into yfinance’s format, which constitutes editing and processing under those terms.

It must not be published or used as the Japanese government’s unprocessed information. This is an explicit condition of PDL1.0.

The same attribution is returned by the API itself.

EDINET Taxonomy

Line item names, statement names and segment names are quoted from the EDINET Taxonomy.

PDL1.0 does not apply to the EDINET Taxonomy. The EDINET Taxonomy Legal Statement applies instead.

The EDINET Taxonomy is provided “as is”. The Financial Services Agency and XII disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement of third party rights, and accept no liability to any user or third party. See the Statement for the full text.
